People with assault weapons protesting against the lockdown. And with the word "Liberate." It looks like a civil war or an armed revolution waiting to happen in the US in addition to the coronavirus pandemic. OMG. While I was in Hong Kong as soon as I heard the word "liberate" that's when the protests started happening. It started as a peaceful protest. Then it became more violent. Good thing, the protesters had no assault weapons or any guns because gun laws over there are very strict. They just improvised with whatever they could make to fight against the police. I mean, I am not taking sides with what happened in Hong Kong when I was there during the protest since it wasn't my problem. I was just a foreigner there. But I am just giving an example how the word “liberate” can start something like a protest, a revolution or even a civil war. Usually this word “liberate” is a catalyst for something violent.
How Vietnam, Like Taiwan, Was Able to Control The Spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus
Just like Taiwan, they already prepared as early as January too as soon as they found out about the coronavirus in China. Preparation is the key.
https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/04/16/835748673/in-vietnam-there-have-been-fewer-than-300-covid-19-cases-and-no-deaths-heres-why
Malaysia Is Strict With The Lockdown (or MCO) But For Its Own Good
$230 fine if you violate the lockdown rules. If you don't pay right away, you can go to court and might even go to jail here in Malaysia as well as more fine since it increases cumulatively. And there's only more than 5000 cases and less than 100 deaths here. Now why the fuck this country became more restricted? Just because this country cares enough that they don't want to become another country in which the coronavirus virus cases went up so high, and now it is out of control. And I like that. I feel safer here than in the US. And no, this is not a Communist country. It is a democratic country with three major religions and three major ethnic groups who seem to get along really well. They even called their lockdown "movement control order" so that its citizens don't feel like they are in a prison.

Malaysia Distributed Millions of Masks For Protection Against the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
Got these masks from the government here for free. They were distributed to every house in the neighborhood. It is not N95, but it is second best to N95 when it comes to protection from the Coronavirus. Now the government here seems to be even stricter since the cases have increased to more than 5000. A lot of people have been arrested and sent to jail for violation of the social distancing rules. You can really see how serious they are about the Coronavirus here. You rarely now see people talking without having at least six feet between them and with their masks on. On the other hand, I saw some videos of people back in the US speaking to each other without their masks on and very close to each other. No wonder there are so many cases over there. Then at the same time, add those people who are saying that this is overblown and who act like shitheads. Now put those two together, and what you got there is a real catastrophe. Glad to be here in Asia, where I feel much safer.
Be More Afraid of the Idiots Than the Covid-19 Coronavirus Itself During this Pandemic
I tell you there are way too many idiots out there. What they do is to find information from so called experts to support their claims that this virus is not a big deal. And they read blogs from medium.com which is pretty much like a site that gives any idiot a chance to become bloggers and make themselves look like experts. For those idiots, here is what you can do to prove that your claim is right, go to a hospital near you, spend some time over there with no protection whatsoever, even do a video of what's going on in the hospital to prove your point. You can use your phone to shoot the video. Show what's really going on, what you've been saying all along. Expose what you say is overblown. Show what you say is a conspiracy or a hoax. Even interview the doctors and nurses and ask them what's really going on. That is my challenge to you. Come on. Do it. Maybe if you get to prove your point, we might even consider you as a hero, who helps us see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you don't do that, you are spreading misinformation that some other idiots might believe and get this problem worse than it is now. I am no expert, but I use common sense. The truth is I am more scared of these idiotic people than the virus itself. They're the ones who are gonna fuck up what everyone is working on to help slow down the spread of this virus. If you know these people, avoid them like a plague (for the lack of a better word).
Too Many People Don't Have Common Sense Dealing with the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
Too many people out there don't have any fucking common sense. And that's the thing that is going to make this pandemic worse. I think these people should party with the same people who believe the same thing they do, that this is all overblown and do a video of their party. Just don't involve other people otherwise who care about living and their health. Just stay among yourselves. Then in a few weeks, maybe two weeks, do another video of yourselves and let's see if you have any missing people among your group after a few weeks or a few days. I think it would be a great challenge for you. But if you don't do it, you're all talk, no action. Or maybe you still have a little bit of common sense. Right now, a lot of the postings from my friends on my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter are about their friends and loved ones getting sick and dying. This is all over the world.
These Famous People Also Love Photography
Now why would famous people love doing photography? I don't know. Everyone has a different answer. But for me, I love photography because of its ability to capture an image in a fraction of a second and tell a story about it. Life keeps on going, but with a camera, you freeze a moment in time that might not happen again. And in each moment of time, there is a story behind it. And sometimes the story is not what the photographer intends to show. Sometimes the viewer of the image fills in the gap based on his experience, his attitude, his knowledge and his sensibility to come up with a story completely different from what is being depicted, and that is what makes an image so powerful.

What's In My Camera Bag? You Are In for a Surprise
In this video, I will tell you what is in my camera bag. You're in for a surprise. Even though I am a professional photographer and a filmmaker, my camera equipment and gadgets you would never expect from me. Most of my equipment are not so expensive and are not latest equipment out there. As a photographer and as a filmmaker, my cameras are just tools. I don't usually upgrade nor buy a new equipment unless it is a necessary. That means the equipment should have a feature I cannot survive without I'm order to do my photography and filmmaking work. The camera brands I prefer are Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Canon and of course, Leica. I do have a gimbal which is the Zhiyun. I also have the Sekonic light meter. I also have the Zoom digital recorder which I love to use for voice over, podcasting, as an external mic for shooting video. I also use different action cameras such as Akaso, Sunpack, and other inexpensive brands. The great thing about having many of these cameras is that you can shoot a scene only at once with different camera angles. I also have the Insta360 camera which I love since I don't have to worry about covering all the angles when shooting something that can only be shot once. One thing about me as a photographer and as a filmmaker, I don't buy any new equipment or upgrade what I have unless it is really necessary. I always ask myself. "Do I really need this equipment?" "Can I survive as a photographer and as a filmmaker without this equipment?" An equipment is just a tool. What is important is my vision and what I am trying to tell with my images and videos.

I Made The Right Choice of Going to Malaysia Instead of Going Back to The US (Coronavirus Pandemic Crisis)
I was just talking to some friends back in the US, and it seems like some don't realize that the US now has the most number of coronavirus cases in the world, which is now more than 401,000, and not many are recovering compared to other countries. Here in Malaysia, they already tested 50,000 people, and so far, only 4119 are confirmed with the virus. And Taiwan only has 379 cases with 5 deaths. That's because as soon as they saw what was happening in China, they did not wait and immediately implemented all the security measures to prevent the virus from spreading in the country. We could all learn from Taiwan. Vietnam is another country that was quite good too in containing this virus. Nevertheless there are a few Southeast Asian countries which might have more cases than what they're reporting just because they haven't tested enough people and their health care system is inadequate to deal with this crisis, and that's quite scary. I already predicted that the possibility that this pandemic would happen, so two months ago, I was already trying to decide which country to lay low, either Taiwan or Malaysia. I should have chosen Taiwan, but it is okay, the Malaysian government seems to be doing a really great job dealing with this pandemic.
Combine Religions and Politics Together, and What You Get Is the Non-existence of Common Sense Among the Idiots Who Don't Take this Coronavirus Pandemic Seriously
There are still a lot of idiots out there who still think this is not serious that they are questioning why the governments of the world really have to impose these lockdowns. Where would your freedom be if you're dead or your loved ones are dead or even if you survive this, your health is not the way it used to be? Some of my friends online are already posting about their loved ones dying from this virus, YOU IDIOTS. Most of these idiots have been so brainwashed by maybe Fox News or other so called not Fake media that literally they don't have any common sense at all. Talk about Cult of Personality syndrome (look it up and see what it means). And that's quite scary. Two things that really fuck up people's minds: religions and politics. One or another will fuck you up. Combine those two together. Basically your common sense is non-existent anymore.

The Difference Between How Asia and the US Are Handling the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
Here's something I've noticed. What is the big difference between East Asians (China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, I will include Singapore since they have a big population of Ethnic Chinese. I might also include Vietnam (from the historical perspective, their culture is almost like China) and other Asians (Indonesia (has a small percentage of ethnic Chinese, Thailand (more ethnic Chinese whose intermarriage with the Thais made them more Thais), Malaysia (23.4 percent are Ethnic Chinese), Philippines, well you get the picture. With East Asian countries, they to do things for the collective good. They care about their society than being individualistic. So that's the reason that when a government tells them to do something that's beneficial for them, they do it. That's the reason these countries are able to deal with this coronavirus effectively. But other countries, the people, all they care are themselves (I am talking about individualism). That's probably the reason despite the governments telling them to do this and that, and yet they don't follow. This is just my opinion based on knowing and interacting with different kinds of people and having lived in these countries. The thing is no system of thought is perfect, but sometimes we can learn from other cultures too and how they do things. And this is one of the main reasons why I decided to stay here in Asia (Malaysia) instead of going home back to the US. I feel much safer here. They really take this problem really seriously here. No one thinks about their economy first. They think about the lives of the people first before anything else. What's the point of having an economy if a lot of lives are lost, if a lot of people are unhealthy. As I talked to someone who survived the swine flu, she told me that we might lose money or a job, but we can get them back, but health and life, these are things we cannot get back once we lose them. Check the link to an article below to see the difference between how the US and Asia are handling the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic. https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/im-back-home-in-the-u-s-from-asia-and-shocked-and-angered-that-all-americans-arent-taking-coronavirus-seriously/?fbclid=IwAR1pZaAuoRY66b27WoeM0ZvdwxFLFhlFJVxi21S8GL2Z2rThepzJ5q-tv2s
I Created a Public Service Announcement That Will Help People Avoid Covid-19 Coronavirus
Just got sick and tired of people that instead of doing positive that will help us survive this pandemic, they don't do anything positive but make negative comments, post videos that just attack, be racist, still doubt about this virus as something like the flu, or post selfies, showing they're outside by themselves as if telling people, "you can be outside too, enjoying the sun like me." The governments in most countries did not say some of you can go outside and enjoy being at the park or on the beach; even though you're all by yourself. Stay home means stay home. Here in Asia, you can now go to prison for months just for being outside. Anyway I wanted to do something positive, so I created this PSA video based on safety measures we all should do and even continue to do even if the lockdown is lifted. The truth is that flattening the curve does not mean people will not get infected anymore. The virus will still be there. It will just be stable. But in my opinion, this can spike again. That's what I am afraid will happen in China again once everyone is back to work fully. Of course, this could happen in most countries as soon as the lockdowns and stay at home orders are lifted too. Based on history, the Spanish flu had more deaths after its second wave, not the first wave, so we should learn from the past. Some of the safety measures I have on this video are from friends back in China. By the way, I forgot to include in the video, leave your shoes outside before entering your home. That is a reason why in China and in most parts of Asia that they disinfect the roads, it is because the virus are also on the streets. I don't know why you don't see these disinfecting procedures in the US. That's probably one of the reasons the cases in the US are increasing rapidly too. Also before going out to buy some food and necessities, wear a pair of long sleeve shirt or jacket and try to wear a hat or a hood, the virus tends to stick on the hair. Once you get home, take off your clothes right away and put them in the laundry bag if possible outside your home and take a shower right away.
Why the Health of the Mankind Is More Important than the Economy (Money) During this COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
Here is why it makes sense to take care of the health of the people before anything else. What's the worth of money when people are dead or not healthy enough (I read that this virus fucks up your lungs really bad even if you survive it) to enjoy or spend it? Life and health cannot be returned after they've been lost, but money, we can always get it back. Maybe for some people, it might take some time, but it is possible through perseverance and hard work. Just be patient and enjoy this time off, giving you a chance to spend more time with your family, discover a new hobby that you never you could do, learn new skills that might help you get a new job or help you get promoted in your present job, catch up with books you've been longing to read but never had the time for it, watch movies you might have missed due to your busy schedule, etc. I am sure once this is over, once we defeat this virus: flowers will smell much better, food will taste better, friendship and family will mean much more to us. I do believe that everything happens for a reason, and this is probably the reason for it.
Having the Wrong Leader Can Cost Millions of Lives
I didn't post this because I hate Donald Trump, the President of the US, or I watch a lot of CNN or Fox 😀 I don't even like the news. Also I am not a Democrat nor a Republican, a Conservative nor a Liberal. The only reason I've been looking at the news lately is because this affects my life a lot. I live in my suitcase. Basically I have no fixed home anymore, so I have to figure out day by day how to deal with this. Anyway I just use common sense, which a lot of people lack these days just because they're easily convinced by people by so called experts when they're not. Anyway I think a picture or in this case, a video is worth more than a thousand words. If you're still convinced that he is still great, then look up the term "cult of personality." This is the same way Hitler influenced Germany into killing the Jews. I still respect people who like Donald Trump, but don't treat him as if he were God, not able to make mistakes.

My Photography and Filmmaking Equipment and Gears
This is pretty much what I use for my photography and filmmaking.
The Leaders (Politicians) Only Cares About the Economy and Big Businesses, Not the People
The US is so divisive due to politics that this coronavirus epidemic could even become worse than it is now because of it. I knew this would happen: the increase in cases over there weeks before. That's why I opted to stay here in Asia. In most countries here, politics are put aside in the name of protecting its citizens from this situation, and they take it seriously. While in the US, some politicians care more about themselves and the economy than the health and the lives of its people, which, I think, is quite fucked. Where I am now, they're extending the lockdown for two more weeks, considering that the number of cases here is so much lower ( 1000 something) compared to the US (40000 something) which now has the third highest cases of this virus in the world. And yet I read that all the imposed stay at home orders in the US might be lifted by Easter. Wow. That's unbelievable. I guess, in the US, people's lives are just stats, numbers. And the numbers that really matter are the almighty dollars. And just think, in some countries, their economies are not as strong as in the US, and they're willing to sacrifice for the sake of saving lives, and yet in the US, the politicians are more worried about the economy than its people. And I even saw a video of a politician in an interview who is willing to sacrifice his parents' lives for the economy (considering that this virus also kills young people.) That's really fucked up, for the lack of a better word. Here in Asia, at least in East Asian countries, due to their Confucian foundation, they respect their elders and even pay respect to them and their ancestors, even when they're long gone, so this kind of thinking would never happen here.
And then there is this news about "a $500 billion program that would award loans to states and cities as well as businesses, according to a copy of the most recent GOP proposal." Shouldn't this money be used to buy medical supplies and other necessities which are not sufficient to fight the Coronavirus epidemic and also to help the people who have not been working and will continue not to work until the stay at home orders are lifted? I am not into politics, but this doesn't make sense at all. Besides once the virus is defeated, the people will go back to work and start consuming again, bringing the money back to these corporations and businesses again. And for sure, being locked out for a long time, I am sure people will be itching to go out there and go to the restaurants, go to the movies and theme parks, travel, etc. It seems the politicians care more about big businesses than the people.
Well, I think when you have leaders like that who only care about the economy and the big businesses and not the lives and the health of the people, I think that is quite sad.
Stuck in Penang, Malaysia Due to the Lockdown Because of the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
Right now, I am stuck in Penang, Malaysia since Sunday due to the lockdown that was imposed by the Malaysian government since Wednesday due to the covid-19 coronavirus and it is supposed to last until the 31st of March. So this video you're seeing right now was shot on my way here from Kuala Lumpur and three days before the lockdown. Not to be critical, but a few days ago some friends on my Facebook were saying that this coronavirus was all hype and just being overblown. Now suddenly they went 180 on me and seem to be very concerned about this situation since now most of the US is now in a stay at home order. Anyway I am not a Democrat nor a Republican, a Conservative nor a Liberal. I am not into politics. I just gave this as an example since my Mom believed the Fox News channel more than she believed me when I was giving her some warning about this virus a few weeks before. Good thing she changed her tune too. Now she talks to me as if she knows more about this virus than I do. As for me, I just use common sense and adapt and be willing to change according to the situation. I always think about the worst case scenario. Having been out of the comfort zone for the longest time traveling, this is what travel taught me. Anyway before the lockdown and before this thing got really big with the USA reporting thousands of cases already, I came here in Penang, thinking this might be a safe place for me to stay in until this coronavirus is under control. Three days later, the whole country of Malaysia ended up being on a lockdown, so pretty much I got stuck here. Well, anyway it is okay since my plan was to stay for at least a month anyway. Since then, it has been crazy. The more I read articles and watched videos about this coronavirus, the scarier it gets. For sure, even if the lockdown finishes, I still have to be vigilant and still have to apply what I learned in order to avoid getting this virus: wear a mask, wash my hands all the time, do not stay close to anyone, stay at least six feet away
. I can do this, but the bad thing is when I take the public transportation or when I go pay for something in a grocery or convenience store. Let alone, it will definitely affect my lovelife. Also now I have to worry about where to go next too. Which country? Since because of the coronavirus situation, less and less countries are letting foreigners enter their countries, and if they do, there are so many restrictions imposed. Well, I could understand. Good thing I still have a few weeks of visa here in Malaysia, so this still gives me some time to figure out what to do next.
As for going home back to the US, it isn't a good option right now based on the reason I just mentioned. In addition, the healthcare system is not prepared for this. And if you don't have a health insurance back in the US, the treatment could cost a lot of money. And even if you do have a health insurance, this could also be expensive for you because of the deductible, especially if it is really high. Now I hope this high cost of medical care doesn't discourage people over there from getting treatment for Covid-19 coronavirus. So for now, I will probably just lay low somewhere here in Asia and see how the situation is in the next few weeks. There is a possibility that I might work somewhere here, so at least my visa will last for at least a year in the case of a work visa. Having a tourist visa usually just gives me at least 30 days to a maximum of 90 days.
Anyway for now, I am just going day by day since it seems like the situation changes every minute. I will let you know how I deal with this situation along the way. Our Fate and Literally, Our Lives Depend on the Leaders We Choose To Lead Us.
The herd immunity was suggested in the UK. Pretty much let some people die, and eventually majority of the population will become immune to the virus. But they changed their mind after finding out that a lot more people will die than they predicted, so this plan was scrapped. Also due to public outcry. Wow, I can't believe a government would even consider this as a way to control this virus. In some ways, this is like a war. Since in a war, the commanders more likely have an estimate how many people will die when doing a mission. It is kind of sad that people just become numbers as the people on top decide the fate of the people's like lives. We definitely need to choose our leaders wisely since our lives literally depend on their decision.

Common Sense, Not Politics nor Religion, Is What We Need to Deal with This Covid-19 Coronavirus Situation
Not to be critical. I say the same thing about the postings of some people here actually a few days ago when they were saying it was all hype and just being overblown. Now they seem to be very concerned about this situation. Anyway I am not a Democrat nor a Republican, a Conservative nor a Liberal. I am not into politics. I just gave this as an example since my Mom believed this news channel more than she believed me when I was giving her some warning about this virus a few weeks before. Politics and Religion in the Midst of the Coronavirus Covid-19 Situation
I think there are people out there who are so much into politics and religion that they don't have any common sense anymore. Also as to remind some people (I am not into politics), Trump is not God. So many postings how great he is instead of focusing on the virus situation. Same with people who are just plain selfish. They still go out and party like it is 1999. Well, it is 2020, and we have this virus that is making people very sick and die . Right now this thing has caused an inconvenience in my travel. I am stuck and started extending my stay in each country for at least four weeks (most visa is only good for four weeks) so as to do my part in minimizing getting it myself and spreading the virus, just in case I have it. But now it is getting worse (we are now in a partial lockdown where I am at), so I do not go out unless to buy groceries or just go for a walk to get some sunlight just around the block (good thing the neighborhood where I am at is a residential area and not a lot of people go out on the streets). I could be enjoying by taking a tour of the place around me, but my tour is now done through my phone by looking at videos and pictures which I could be taking right now. And this stay in a homestay is costing me money and not fully enjoying the trip by seeing the sights around me, but money is nothing unless you have health and life. In addition, I try to be responsible for other lives out there by keeping myself away just in case I am carrying the virus (not just to protect myself from other carriers). Please stop finger pointing. This is a health issue. It doesn't have anything to do with politics. Ebola virus came from Africa. Swine flu came from North America. And even Spanish flu ( even though it is called Spanish flu) came from the US. Maybe just post things about the virus that will help people avoid the virus, to keep them healthy, to make them feel positive. The people who post this hate messages, they're not helping at all.
